Russian Government Scholarship (State Quota)
About this Scholarship
The Russian Government Scholarship (Quota Scheme) is the largest state-funded grant program for international students. It covers tuition fees for the entire duration of study at 700+ participating universities.
Unlike the "Open Doors" Olympiad, this scholarship is applied for via the education-in-russia.com portal and is managed by Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian Houses) in your home country. It usually includes a free one-year Russian language preparatory course for those who do not speak Russian.
Scholarship Benefits
Full Tuition Waiver
100% of tuition fees are paid by the Russian government for the entire degree duration.
Maintenance Allowance
A monthly stipend (approx. 2,000–4,000 RUB, varies by university) regardless of academic success.
Preparatory Year
Free 1-year intensive Russian language course if you choose a Russian-taught program.
Dormitory
Guaranteed accommodation in university dormitories at a subsidized nominal rate.
