About this Scholarship
The Stipendium Hungaricum is Hungary’s most prestigious higher education scholarship. It attracts thousands of international students each year to study fully funded in the heart of Europe.
Applications are currently open for the 2026-2027 academic year. The program offers a wide range of English-taught courses and provides full financial security, including tuition, housing support, and medical insurance.

Nomination
Your country's sending authority (e.g., HEC, Ministry of Ed) must nominate you by Feb 28.

Entrance Exam
Universities will contact nominated students for online written tests/interviews in March-May.
4
Final Award
Tempus Public Foundation issues the final Letter of Award in June/July.
